Right to Vote
In 2000, 2004, and 2008, Republicans continued to fight to take away peoples' right to vote--people like Blacks, Latinos, Democrats, and other minorities.
So it's imperative this year that we do more than remember those who fought so that all of us could vote!
We must continue the fight.
Stop the disenfranchisement of voters and count all votes as they were cast.

Hillary Clinton Says Only Whites Matter
http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/2008/05/hillary-clinton-says-only-whit.php
I love the way she implys white people are the 'hard working Americans'.
I thought she was warned all day yesterday her only hope of a graceful exit was not to continue this crap. Even so she still stood up there yesterday and AGAIN said, if only we were all REPUBLICAN she would already have won.
What is WRONG with this chick? I can not believe I ever respected her at all in any way. I will never make that mistake again.
Jesselyn has another diary up that will send chills down your spine.
Here's an excerpt:
Today I have a piece in FindLaw, http://writ.news.findlaw.com/..., about the Justice Department's shadowy Litigation Security Group (LSG) and its unethical conduct in the Al-Haramain case--one of the only viable lawsuits against Bush's warrantless wiretapping program. Why? Because, unlike the other secret surveillance cases, the plaintiffs (an Islamic charity called Al-Haramain) can demonstrate that the government actually listened to their conversations. That's because, as the Treasury Department was preparing to freeze the organization's assets, it inadvertently sent Al-Haramain attorneys a Top Secret NSA log of intercepted calls. Doh! But this is only the beginning of the bungling. Read what I unearthed below.

Raided counsel's office shut down investigation into Siegelman case
The U.S. Office of Special Counsel Scott Bloch -- whose home and office were recently raided by the FBI --last year shut down a previously undisclosed investigation into the federal prosecution of former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman, according to an internal memo made public Wednesday.
The investigation was being conducted by a task force formed at the agency a year ago to pursue high-profile political investigations in Washington, most notably whether the White House played politics in firing U.S. attorneys. It began gathering information on the Siegelman case in September and was planning to request documents from the Justice Department in October before Special Counsel Scott Bloch ordered the case closed, according to the Jan. 18 draft memo, made public by the Project on Government Oversight, a watchdog group.

Ohhhh...Now that is very freaking interesting.
Christy,
It is not only freaking interesting, it is part of the ongoing unraveling of the Bush criminals. The problem is that the media is not covering it as the story of networked crimes that it is.
These people are much worse than the mafia, and they had more underwriting to begin with as well.

Re: Hillary's pandering to the uneducated white voters in Indiana
DISGUSTING. I had to deal with those pigs last week, and they will vote for McCain ANYWAY.
If Hillary thinks she can win those votes, she better dream on, because those votes will be just that - a dream.
If anyone deserves to be disenfranchised, it's them. There was a reason why the Founding Fathers put in the Electoral College, ugly as it is - the ignorance of the actual voters.
While at it, they should stop handing out freebie residencies and citizenships to Koreans and Cubans.
Karen, count me in. I'll be more than happy to visit.
One more thing:
Either DLC dies, or the ENTIRE Democratic Party dies. Pick one.
It is funny watching all the talking heads trying to avoid the obvious about Indiana.
If limpball and his idiots, with fraud as their intent, added 7% to clintons overall total, and she only 'won' by less than 2%... That means Barak Obama, absent the outright fraud, would have won Indiana, by atleast 5%.
Just another elephant to add to the pile of elephants in the room.

I just heard Siegelman on Tom Hartman's show. Listen Rove's fingerprints are all over the place!
Rove should be behind bars. And so should Block our OIC.
This is too upsetting. All of this criminality without end and without real reporting. I'm so sickened.
Cindy McCain says she will NEVER release her tax returns
"They file separately and she's not the candidate," she says.
I was two-minded about it at first; however, then I remembered how McCain used her plane for his campaigning and didn't claim that as a donation. So now I'm thinking he could be filtering lots of money and campaign donations through her accounts.

I can't find the quote yet, but I actually heard Bill Clinton say this morning at a campaign event for Hillary that "all these people wanna rain on her parade" and that Michigan and Florida will make all the difference.
Rain on her parade?
So much for Hillary going out quietly, or with dignity. She is definitely playing the race card now. I just heard it with my own ears.
There's a word for this behavior, given our abysmal history on this issue: EVIL.

What do I think?
Hillary is evil.
Party leaders have been elected to provide guidance, expertise; and they are needed now to confirm that Senator Obama has run the best campaign, received the most votes and delegates, and has earned the nomination.
Hillary is evil.
Her lying, her race-baiting, and nasty tactics have all been out in the open.
It is time for a change; and that means getting evil out of American politics — and electing Senator Obama.

According to , their YouTube page has just passed 1,000 videos, thanks to their tireless video road crew that puts up clips after all of Barack's events. That is not to mention all the thousands of independent productions. Obama is not a Muslim; he is a Christian and he is a loving husband and father.
*****************
Karen,
Richard was absolutely correct the Sunday before the general election in 2004. People all over America were given sheets to read once they left the church that Sunday "to help them decide" who to vote for by outlining the candidate's positions on the inflamatory wedge issues.
Richard and Karen,
When I researched it I found that the PR firm that was doing most of it's campaigning to the religious right was doing it under the guise of "morals and Christianity, etc." And, the guy who headed that PR firm MAY have indeed been a "Christian". It was however very much a FRONT operation put in place by Republicans, and it very well helped Bush get re-elected in '04 (if he truly even did).
It was Mr. RoRatty's way of manipulating church goers by making them feel guilty if they didn't vote for Bush in light of the highly ignitable wedge issues. Mainly the one of which I am not going to name. RoRatty bellied up to Falwell and some of the other top name leaders in the religious right movement and managed to get email addresses, home addresses and phone numbers and ways to communicate with pastors to encourage them to manipulate their parishioners, then inundated all of them with massive, almost daily, slanderous and guilt producing emails, phone calls, and letters.
WE NEED THE SAME KIND OF PR FIRM that will do the same things only instead of using caustic lies and guilt producing material, using the TRUTH. Why should the Repugs have all that accessibility and power to themselves, when we can very well with VERY good conscience
and alot of truth telling do the VERY SAME THING????
I hope I don't offend anyone here when I nickname Mr. McCrazy "Mumbles", because he reminds me of Mumbles in the Dick Tracey movie with Madonna and Al Pacino.
Mr. Mumbles has wishy washied whether or not he wanted the relgious right's endorsement; first he didn't, then he reluctantly acccepted Hagee's, then he stated in the press that he thought that was a "mistake" (to accept Hagee's endorsement). Wanta know why the Republicans wanted Hillary in there so bad as our nominee? Yes, I know most of us here do.
I had an overnight guest last night (don't get too happy for me - it was a girlfriend) and we sat up like 7th graders and giggled and talked almost all night, and when she left for home this afternoon I headed for a nap.
When I was rested I turned on the flipper and there was McCain hugging Hagee again.
They KNOW Obama is made of the RIGHT STUFF, and it scares the HELL out of them.
I also fully expect that the reason Mumbles is holding out naming his V.P. nominee is because he is waiting to see if Hillary takes the Dem. nom, or if Obama does. If Obama takes it, as it should be, and hopefully WILL be, I expect Mumbles to nominate Huckabee, as I have seen the two of them together in the press this past week. Huckabee is probably not even remotely his preferred choice, but when and if he nominates Huckabee it will be to solidify the R.R. base.
Thing is, I know several religous people who, even though Huckabee seems honest and like a nice guy, said they wouldn't vote for him because they didn't think he was smart enough to handle the job.
Give some thought to that PR thing. We should be sending the truth to people's emails, calling them with it, and mailing them letters that make them feel morally good about voting for Senator Obama.

Sparrow,
You know I love you girlfriend, but, I'm afraid I agree alot with Mr. C's position on Billary's marriage.
I think the point Mr. C. was making was the REASON why Hillary stayed with her straying husband might have had alot more to do with her wanting power and wanting the Presidency, more than it had to do with her being weak or strong.
I know of a family where one of the spouses strayed, and the other spouse forgave and forgot. He even raised and took in as his own one child that was a product of that straying, and never mentioned it again EVER. At the time I thought the forgiving spouse was weak. After watching him nurse his ill wife single-handedly for four years in his very late eighties I think he is the most loving, strongest person I have ever met in my life. His wife used to say he was the closest thing to perfect that was human.
I don't think, although I can't speak for him, that Mr. C. means ALL wives or husbands who stay in a less than fulfilling marriage are weak. It's more the motive. Love, or Insecurity and the Lust for Power and attention???
Personally, I had GREAT respect for the Billary's until this primary season, and seeing someone outright LIE not just once but several times about ducking sniper fire in Bosnia, and watching her husband acting looney on the stump ended the false illusion I had of them, in spite of his straying and her hunger for power. I don't respect either one of them after the way they acted during this Primary season. And never will again. Any illusion of greatness they took with them in 2001 rotted away while watching what they did and how they did it this season.
I know that some of the people who were part of this family aren't currently hanging out on this blog because they don't want to hear anything negative about Hillary. Well, sorry, but I just calls 'em as I sees 'em.
Besides, staying upset over this is making your point, but in a month or three we'll all be on the same team again no matter what, and we all know Mumbles is just another 8 yrs. of Bush policies.

I find the phrase "Billary" offensive. Likewise "HillBillary." I find speculation about the personal lives of the Clintons offensive and intrusive. When you do that, it seems un-Christian. Why do you all feel compelled to do that?
Chuck in Houston
Why do you all see the mote in your brother's eye but not the beam in your own?
Well, to close, judge not lest ye be judged.
Chuck,
I love you, and I'm sorry you're offended at my term Billary. Maybe it doesn't "sound" religious, but I am someone who is just really tired of people trying to act like someone they are not. I'm tired of people lying, being supported by big business, sending our kids to die and come home maimed on the pretense of "democracy". I'm tired of watching the lies and the spin in the media and the manipulation of very good people by evil means.
As I said earlier, even after Pres. Clinton's blue dress scandal, I still RESPECTED both him and his wife for the good they did the country. In my very own personal opinion, some of the things they said and did while campaigning and running for this 2008 primary has shown me a different side of them, one that I always thought they were above. I hate dirty politics where ANYONE lies about himself to pump himself up, and tears another down to try to climb on top of them, and that's honestly what I thought I saw during this campaign season. I would have NEVER thought that of them.
As far as seeing the speck in my brother's eye and not the beam in my own, I am the first to admit I've got faults. I blow it, but I try to grow, and I try to apologize when I've been wrong and accept responsibility for it. The bible also says to "tell the truth in love", and in my frustration the nicknames kind of take the edge off the disappointment and sadness I feel after experiencing far less than admirable behavior.
You have a good point, but a person can almost play bible scripture talking point wars, because the bible says several things about almost everything. I have seen people in churches use their bible scriptures to bonk one another over the head, depending on their own point of view, and which verse they choose to "use".
For instance, I could use the scripture that says "If your brother claims to be one of you (so okay today let's make that - honest, trustworthy, fair, tolerant of others, kind, loving,) but is running around talking the talk but not walking the walk, have nothing to do with him. Don't even eat with him." In other words, I would much more respect a person who used smear tactics, fear and racial tactics, if they didn't say things about themselves that are not true, and try to appear to be someone they are not. To me that is hypocrisy.
I don't want to argue, but I am not going to watch one more phoney climb their way in to the White House with big business and Wall Street in their pockets. It has cost this nation and our children too dearly.
I voted for Bush in 2000 because I was told what good morals and what a good Christian the man was and is. I can't say he isn't, but I can say that many of his actions and deeds lead me to believe very strongly that his top campaign advisor manipulated my perception of him. I also feel that once he was in office, we got a "bait and switch".
Our country is about to go to HELL in a handbasket - there are people moving in to their cars because they are losing their homes, there are elderly people living in vans and all they can afford is bread and milk (NBC nightly news three days ago). There are people who go to bed exhausted and hungry and anxious every night in this country after working their heart out every day to try to make ends meet. I think the rich are rich enough. And I admire the way Obama has built a grass roots campaign of supporters on an average of $95.00 a person. I just think he is a decent human being. Not perfect, and he admits it. But decent, and that is refreshing after what we have been through this past eight years.
I just want some INTEGRITY back in our government. I respect Obama, and I have taken a HARD look at him. There is alot about his demeanor that shows he means what he says, and that his motives are pure. He went the extra mile with Wright, only to be disappointed by him, and he did it out of respect to him, at cost to himself, until Wright forced him to put distance between the two of them by going back on the talking circuit. I'm glad he did, because Wright showed his true colors, and although Obama was grieved at having to do so, he had to tell it as it became.
I personally am very offended by former President Clinton's remarks about Obama, about their campaign tactics to use fear and race and even lies to try to win. Those are to me, more of the same old Washington tricks that have been used the past nine years in this country. For one thing, you NEVER put a black man down, whether overtly or covertly, any more than you do any other race or creed, UNLESS they are phoney and trying to appear to be someone or something they are not. That's where I draw the line.
I have my beam in my own eye and although we each try to overlook our own beams, sooner or later in order to be able to advance a person just has to look at their own beam. I have blown it with a couple of my dearest friends, and was a turkey. But I apologized and owned up to it, and it's not a regular pattern in my life.
Jesus readily forgave the prostitute, the thief, the murderer. The one's he said aren't going to make it are the phoneys and Pharisees ~ the hypocrits.
And I really didn't want to ever get into another religious or biblical discussion on this blog. But He honestly did, he warned the hypocrits over and over again, and those who act like they are holier than thou. He called out alot of phoneys, and the call still to this day in my own personal opinion, not that of the DCP, is the same. Be real, get real. The measure of a man to me is how far he will go in harming an innocent party in order to elevate himself. I myself have blown it, but admitted it and moved on.
Again, we will all be on the same team in a couple of months. This is not personal toward your admiration of them, Chuck. NONE of us want eight more years of what we have just lived through, and as appauled as I am, if I have to vote for someone who is not my favorite, I will plug my nose and go in and do it rather than have another eight years under Republican leadership. We don't have another eight years.
And we do miss ya around here.
In my case, Chuck, I'm not a Christian. I'm a Deist. I'm free to judge.
But perhaps we should steer clear of critiques of their personal lives - especially when their political lives have given their critics such a wealth of material.
Has anyone witnessed this type of behavior from any other primary candidate in recent years. We went from Andrew Young claiming that Bill had "gone with more black women than Barak" - gee, I wonder what Young meant by "gone with", and I wonder how he knows - to Hillary now emphasizing her strength with uneducated, lower-middle class whites.
Given this country's absolutely repugnant history with race, would you suggest that it was wise to exacerbate the racial angle - especially given that Barak is running as a post-racial candidate? Is all truly fair in love, war, and primary elections? We're not even into the general election campaign. This campaign is not about issues. It's about ambition, and one couple's insatiable, truly insatiable, appetite for power and celebrity.
Hillary is a legend in her own mind. She was on the wrong side of the Iraq War for far too long - and yet she claims that she's somehow more qualified to be Commander-in-Chief. What would an "unqualified" person have done? Perhaps he or she would have actually read the National Intelligence Estimate? Perhaps, being less full of themselves, and more worried that they were making the wrong decision, they might have voted for the Levin Amendment - and given themselves one final fall back position.
And with regard to "Hillary, the fighter"... where else have we seen such extraordinary stubbornness, and willingness to perserve in spite of the writing being everywhere across the wall? Where else? How about in the persons of Dubya and Saddam? That's fine company, don't you agree?
Spare my country such fighters.
I have heard many of the HRC folks in the past few months go on about how tough she is, and how she can still win. To me, the battle is between those who believe (religiously) that the strategies and tactics of the right wing are the only way to defeat the right wing, and those who are trying to find new strategies and tactics to take them by surprise, as it were.
The "old guard" (the same folks who came into the JK/JE campaign at the end and derailed it, IMHO) believe in negatives and push-polling and high-end focus groups and Hollywood money. The new folks did not start out NOT believing in that stuff, but they have learned new tactics as they went along. Many of them worked on the JK/JE campaign and saw what did NOT work.
This 2008 campaign is going to be one for the analysts and book writers, and it is inextricably linked to the 2004 campaign. None of the lessons that were learned there that truly affect this one have been discussed yet. But they will be!
The clintons marriage is PERFECTLY fair game for 1 reason above all others... Monica. They made it our problem and it is a perfectly legit subject to dissect at length.
Funny how Christian values only apply when the clintonistas want them to apply. What does God say about LYING REPEATEDLY?
However, none of us here can judge why she stayed with him. Money, fame, power, all of those things may be in play... But to her heis first and foremost the father of her only child.
No matter what she is, like with most women, she is a mommy first, and her reasons for not breaking up her own family is not for us to judge.
Now Chuck, tell us some more about how we are less than christian again... Because I can not wait to ask you what God thinks of you excusing known and obvious liars. Your new friend lush limpball would be proud.
Next thing you know, none of us will be patriots either, because we don't wear flagpins.
"When you do that, it seems un-Christian. Why do you all feel compelled to do that?"
Maybe the same reason you feel compelled to use every republican trick you can think of here against our own.
You know what the funniest thing about that is...?
If Chuck honestly expects her to 'win'... How in the crap does he plan to chastise and de-christian everyone who believes Mrs. Presidents marriage to a former president IS an important issue...?
HAHAHA! Well if we can 'all' be 'liars' we may as well all be unchristian too! Who will keep bill from cheating on her while she has her finger on the button?
BTW, how christian is it to cheat on your spouse? Cause if I remember correctly, it was the suppossed christians that had the biggest problem with it.
Ofcourse she will answer the phone at 3 am. She will probably still be awake anyway wondering where bill is.

On all of the comments above:
This campaign season is hardly over. Let us PLEASE remember how volatile it is yet to become, and to try and remain true to what we DO understand: we can all learn from one another. Each belief any of us hold is well-founded, but may not actually be true.
It is only through open dialogues, without name-calling or reductionist comments, that will reveal what is true. I am sure most of our well-founded beliefs ARE true, but there is always room for new information.
And so let's also remember that not all sources of information are equally good, nor is all evidence equally useful. We all understand how the media distorts, under-reports, or makes fun of candidates and their positions. So anything that comes through the MSM is subject to further questioning, IMHO.
Also, I have been thinking lately about how many people will say things to me like "John Kerry was the worst candidate, he was a nightmare!" At the same time, they will say that Al Gore was great and that the 2000 election was clearly stolen. When I point out that John Kerry won more votes than any Dem, they switch to the war vote or the *fact* that he "did not investigate Ohio."
Y'all know what I believe about 2004, and my beliefs are based on my own experience, as well as actual facts that we have all reported on and shared in here. We have ample evidence of what is true. And yet, what we know is hardly "out there" at all. So it is not only the msm that distorts.
The ONLY way we can know what is true is to be very careful about what we write and how we state it, to question each other without trashing each other, to research, query, read, and sample opinions of others, and to write articles of deeper reflection.
On the thread that Christy links to, above, there is a range of beliefs about John McCain. It is important for us to understgand how he is viewed across the spectrum, because what matters to the restoration of democracy is not only the actual facts (easily disputed, most of the time), but what people actually believe is true.
That is the only way to begin to change hearts and minds towards the actual facts.
We all know this; we have been having this conversation for YEARS. But I wanted to remind myself as well as all of us that we have a higher purpose here than just being proven right.
If and when HRC leaves (please, soon, for her sake as well) we will still have to address the fact that she takes a lot of believers with her. They have no idea about particpatory democracy and they bought into the notion that the politics of mean are the only thing that can prevail. Their failure to win despite their mastery of the genre is going to lead to either bitterness or insight.
I'd like to see us all help them along to insight.

I have an idea... Let's quit talking about hillary all together.
Why? Because she LOST. She can not won, it is not going to happen.
Instead, it is time to start speculating on the VP pick. And since hillary has 1200 pages of opposition research poised to be used against her by repellicans, I think we can safely say she will not even be VP unless Obama suddenly decides to go slumming.

In this waiting game, they will be watching to see if a woman, a Catholic, a 'well-known' or 'unknown' will be chosen.
I suspect that McBush will pick somone young but not a woman--due to his past behavior with pretty young women and lobbyist, I think a woman is out. Besides, he would look like a dirty old man next to a woman.
I suspect he is seriously considering Huckabee or someone who he thinks will bring the religious-right base with him.
Regarding Obama, I think Obama has a lot more choices. I HOPE he doesn't take someone who is currently serving in the Senate. We need every vote! I'm not sure if he will take a woman but, I suspect he will try to pick a southern Democrat. Maybe Wes Clark. (I love Wes Clark despite his 'association' with the Clinton camp.)
I think he will try to pick someone with military and/or diplomatic experience. Clark and Richardson both have that. Admittedly, I am not a Richardson fan.
I do not think JRE wants to run as VP again.
Edwards is out, runnin for VP on 2 different tickets is kinda odd, but hey, Lieberman could pull it off in even odder fashion...
Richardson I dont connect with for some reason, although I have no reason not to like him or be impressed with his credentials... oh, and wouldn't THAT bring a whole different angle to the race cards that are not being played?!
Clark is a brilliant choice (as it woulda been in '04, but I digress....)
Hillary's now going scorched earth on her Michigan supporters. This is one scary person.

Obama's Vice President: Who Will It Be?
Take The Poll
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/05/09/obamas-vice-president-who_n_101001.html
My vote is easily winning at the moment
Webb is winning that poll by a mile.
Webb does have the experience too needed. He would be a good pick all things considered.
But... Richardson would probably do best as Sec. Of State. He is tailor made for that role and VP would hobble his usefulness.
Why not Edwards? His populist appeal would ensure the white vote hillary is busy coveting.
BTW, the last time he ran as VP...they WON. And unlike Kerry, Edwards actually did have a damn good reason not to fight being cheated and just backed away.
Under Obama Edwards would be exceptional.
All things being equal, if they had been equal, it would have came down to Edwards and Obama anyway, not Obama and hillary.
It was the media that sabotaged his campaign.
Look at this, she is STILL attacking Obama today, even as he is trying to target mumbles mccrazy.

Hey Girlfriend you get my messages the other day?
Got one about Tony and the baby. Great news! I'm on messenger now.
What does Australia say about Obama...?
Obama/Richardson 2008
It shouldn't be Webb. We need every Dem in the Senate!
And Webb is one who is supportive of a progressive agenda.
I still route for Clark. Or go for the completely historic ticket and have a woman as VP.
Don't miss this diary on the Winter Soldier May 15th in Congress.
Chuck:
I just realized that the term "Billary" could mean something like "Hill Billies", and I DO NOT want to give the impression that I would make fun of Hillary and Bill like that.
I equated the term to mean a conjoining of two names, such as Ben and Jennifer make a "Bennifer" these days.
It just dawned on me that it might be taken as a slight toward a certain sect of our society, and that is not at all how I meant it. Just to clear that up.
Please recommend this diary about the DOJ obstructing the Siegelman investigation.
TSP...I did the same thing when I first saw "Billary." But I think I saw it commented about at Kos or somewhere that it was offensive.
McCain's Spiritual Guide
By David Corn
May 8, 2008
Washington Dispatch: In a taped sermon, the preacher McCain calls a "spiritual guide" calls on America to see the "false religion" of Islam "destroyed." Still, the candidate won't reject Rod Parsley's endorsement.
During a 2005 sermon, a fundamentalist pastor whom Senator John McCain has praised and campaigned with called Islam "the greatest religious enemy of our civilization and the world," claiming that the historic mission of America is to see "this false religion destroyed." In this taped sermon, currently sold by his megachurch, the Reverend Rod Parsley reiterates and amplifies harsh and derogatory comments about Islam he made in his book, Silent No More, published the same year he delivered these remarks. Meanwhile, McCain has stuck to his stance of not criticizing Parsley, an important political ally in a crucial swing state.

Let me get this straight.
Hillary really lost in february, yet still she hung on and ran up MILLIONS of dollars in debt by staying in for nothing more than to weaken him and try to cause a racial interparty war, even after knowing she could not mathmatically win.... And now... She is still running up the debt, and still attacking him and the talk now is...
Obamas camp is expected to pay off her debts?
I am guessing Obama is ok with it to a point, just to get her out of the way, but if I were him I would tell little Mrs Debt to go f*ck herself.
Not only that, but I would tell her big donors that threatened to cut off funds to pay her bills for her and then they also can go shag themselves.
What a joke.
Christy,
You shouldn't hold back on your true feelings so much.
Everyone: Updates on why we're leaving on the front page of this blog and at Kos:

Wow Karen, great piece. I bet your house will be happy with a new baby, even if its not yours anymore.
I really am having a hard time holding back my feelings for her. I know I said stop talking about her, and here I am still freaking out over her myself.
I try not to indulge that eternal 7 year old we all have that lives inside us, but now, every time I see her face or name I just want to scream 'I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!'. She has sucked all the humor and patience out of me and if she tried to hug me I would probably bite her in self preservatory reflex.
I never expected or wanted to feel this way.
If her supporters think I am 'rude and aggressive' now, just let me endure 2 more weeks of this and I will start biting people.
PLEASE TELL ME TO SHUT UP ABOUT HER! SHE LOST! SO WHY IS SHE STILL THERE, PISSING ME OFF SO MUCH????
ARRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!
Christy, darling,
As upset as you are, just imagine how SHE is today. I would not want to be the one serving her morning coffee...
Would you?
How about a nice cup of herbal tea, a massage, and some deep breathing. I'll be right over to your place, OK?
Remember Christy -
no biting - just nibble incessently : she won't notice
Man I picked a bad day to stop sniffing glue.

Christy,
You are so delightfully real!!! And you continue to crack me up.
She's still there for the exact reasons you think she's still there.
Smell anything? (Besides glue vapors, I mean.)
Karen and Richard,
I was driving around town today and saw a darling old vacant church for sale, and thought of you, then thought "This isn't Nova Scotia." But as I drove to a nearby town to it's grocery market and home this afternoon I had you guys on my mind alot.
I just wanted to tell you how much I respect your decision to not bend to the force of the establishment this primary season. To not care more about your own popularity and power than you do about humanity, and to take a stand about what you truly believe in. I can't tell you how much that makes me respect and admire you guys.
Then I got home, still thinking about what a statement to the world you are making, and I got on the blog and saw your piece about your update about why you are moving,
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/5/10/10319/0941/416/513163
I am glad your house sold so quickly, if the young couple has been saving for a long time to purchase this home, I would think also they were a sure bet. It always gets a little scarey about financing when Escrow closes.
When Obama wins you will be surprised at how popular you are once again.
Humanity/Power? Power/Humanity? Power matters more to power hungry people. Humanity matters more to the solid, IMO.
I love you guys, thanks for keeping me sane.
